5 Healthy Smoothies to Start Your Day….Number 3 is Our Favorite

6252

Here at COD we’re big fans of smoothies and make them for a healthy breakfast, a nutritious snack, an afternoon pick-me up and, after a workout, a recovery drink.

A smoothie is a great way to get those important phytonutrients into your diet (and your kids’ too). Adding a dairy free protein powder to your smoothie can boost energy and enhance immunity. We also like to add healthy fats such as coconut, almonds, avocado and chia seeds that will leave your skin glowing and your stomach feeling satisfied.

Here at COD we have been trying different morning recipes with our new Vitamix 7500 and we wanted to share our new favorites with you:

  1. Bananaimage, Chia, and Spinach Smoothie
    Serves: 1

    1 cup unsweetened almond milk
    1/2 cup frozen mango
    1 ripe banana
    1 handful fresh spinach
    1 tsp chia seeds

Combine all ingredients in a blender, and blend! Add more almond milk as necessary, depending on your desired consistency.
