Under new leadership, led by Dr. Mark Mandell his vision and goal for the week was to “turn up the volume” in the chiropractic profession.

The event was kicked off on Thursday morning with breakout sessions and an inspirational opening ceremony titled, “The Power of Awesome” by Dr. Guy Riekman.

The event was held at the Mandalay Bay and had an action packed lineup of the “who’s who” of Chiropractic allstars. The speaker lineup was as deep and diversified as the profession. Speakers covered the range of topics from technique, practice growth, business principles, Chiropractic assistants training, and community outreach. Highlighting the speakers was the first ever Parker Hall of Fame inductee, Dr. Larry Markson. He gave an emotion filled speech about his tenure in the profession and how proud he was of not only the doctors he has helped, but that his family has been by his side through this incredible journey.

Other notable speakers included Patrick Gentempo, John Demartini, and Retired Brigadier General Becky Halstead.

The week long convention featured affiliate tracks that did not disappoint.  It was standing room at most including FreeForm, Epic Practice, and CLA. According to Dr. Brad Glowaki, “I loved the affiliate tracks environment. The room size was perfect ( 250 seats) and the attendees seemed to respond quite well.  The smaller closed sessions allowed for interactivity which most conferences frown upon.”

Each night Parker prepared some sort of activity for those in attendance. One night it was a live band, another a cocktail party and a Superbowl Sunday event.

The expo area was full with over 300 registered companies presenting. The new trend this year seemed to revolve around the word technology.  Chirotouch rolled out new features to its ever popular software, Foot Levelers displayed its new 3D Bodyview scanner, and a myriad of other emerging companies displayed their latest products and services.
