Are Your Chiropractic Assistants Shark Bait?

Hey, Dr. Stephen Franson here  and I want to share a quick story with you.

One time I did something so dangerous that I can still hardly believe it … as many of you know, I’m an avid surfer, and in 2004 a few friends convinced me to make the trip out to South Stradbroke Island in Australia. This famed place has some of the most incredible waves and beautiful water in the world.

South-Stradbroke

But there’s one problem…

The only way to get to this island is to paddle across the Seaway Split, the lone outlet for Runaway Bay. Every ship coming in and out of the bay passes through this 100-yard-wide chokepoint – and so does every shark.  You see, when those ships come in, usually from a full day of fishing, they toss their “extra parts” overboard after they have cleaned their catch of the day.

The waters around Stradbroke are *infested* with sharks, from bull sharks to hammerheads and even great whites, all waiting to eat the carcasses thrown overboard.

And there I was, heart pounding on my surfboard as I paddled across, and thinking –

“A shark can hear a heartbeat from a mile away. I might as well strap a bloody fish to my leg …”

Stephen Franson DC Circle of DocsWhile it’s less of an adrenaline rush, but hiring a new CA is a lot like swimming in shark-infested waters…Ok – that’s a little bit of a stretch – but hiring a new CA can be hair-ball! And making the wrong hire – well – that can make you at least want to go jump in the ocean!

One minute everything seems fine, and the next your practice is limping from an unmotivated team member or maimed by a toxic employee. How do you make sure that “picture-perfect” candidate is really a good fit for your team?

There’s a technique I use in my practice  to make sure we find the right person, every time.

I would like to share this video with you and show you how you can paddle across that channel and build a team to ride those epic waves.

P.S. I made it across the Split with all of my limbs intact. Don’t just “hope for the best” like I did on that surfboard, use a proven solution.
