An Early Start in Chiropractic

Chiropractic discovered me all the way back in high school. I found myself on a job shadowing assignment and I stood in disbelief as I watched patient after patient come in and out. What amazed me was simple, they were all smiling! Never before had I been involved in “health care” that wasn’t all gloom and doom, sickness and disease.

I had no idea what chiropractic was, I admit, but it actually found me that day, and ever since then my life has transformed into something I could never have imagined.

That day I learned that there is a health care profession where not only is the doctor happy to be there, but the patients are too. I couldn’t believe my eyes, instead of being surrounded by patients who were sick and suffering, I met people who were excited and grateful to be there. Not only that, the doctor was even more thrilled to be doing what he was doing.

That was also the day that I made up my mind to become a chiropractor, no matter what it took. It was so radically different from everything else I had seen, that it amazed and attracted me. I was so hooked just on the vision of chiropractic that I was in my second year of pre-chiropractic studies before I ever even got my first adjustment! Man was I missing out!

Advanced Education for Advanced Results

I completed my pre-chiropractic studies at Iowa State University, before continuing onto the prestigious Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, the birthplace of chiropractic. While there I was fortunate to have great academic and clinical success, and finished my studies early. Doing so, allowed me to move to another area and complete my clinical internship with a great family wellness and pediatric-focused office right here in the Chicagoland. Since getting my Doctor of Chiropractic degree, I have continued my education and am currently a Certified Pediatric Chiropractor, and am working towards my Diplomate in Neurosensory Integration as well as wrapping up my Wellness Certification.

My pediatric certification really sets me apart in my ability to treat highly challenging and difficult pediatric cases such as ADHD, autism, sensory processing disorder, and even things such as Down’s Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and Epilepsy. While chiropractic in general is helpful in these cases, our expertise and level of specific neurologically-based care allows us to get the highest level of results in these areas, while maintaining incredible safety and satisfaction.

Our practice is very dedicated to caring for these challenging cases and encompasses all aspects of care these kids need, from neurologically-based chiropractic care, functional neuro-sensory therapy, nutritional and dietary guidance, and more. Nowhere else can parents get such high levels of expertise and attention all under one roof.

I am currently blessed to have an extremely family-friendly office that provides care to the entire family. I make it a priority to always put education and inspiration first, and spend as much time as I can conveying a message of health and hope to my practice members and my community. I have made it my mission to make sure the next generation of children had a vision of health and wellness that is way beyond what we currently have.

Outside the Office

Everyone in my practice knows that FAMILY COMES FIRST! My beautiful wife Kristina stays at home with our amazing kids Addison, Oliver, Alaina and Emilia making sure they are always happy, healthy, and living a full and exciting life! I spend every second I can with my family, and we like to be very active going for walks to the park, the zoo, or anything else that gets us moving! To me, there is nothing better than watching in amazement as my children learn and explore their whole new world!

I am very big into sports and athletics, and am quite obsessed with following my favorite professional teams the Twins and Vikings. I also love being fit and athletic myself, and have really become involved with CrossFit Functional Athletic Training and I do CrossFit workouts 3-5 times a week here in Crystal Lake. Trying to keep my body feeling “20 –something” even if the calendar says I am not! ;)

My own personal health is always a top priority, and I am always certain to get my weekly chiropractic adjustment. I also do all that I can to keep my body and spine in optimum shape by keeping my fitness and nutrition at high levels. I personally have not been “sick” in nearly a decade and have everything I need to achieve and maintain proper health without the use of vaccinations or drugs. I am a firm believer in “role modeling” for my patients, and my own children, and would never expect a patient to do something I am not.

My wife and I not only love chiropractic for all the amazing things it does for the families we serve at the practice, but we personally know the power of chiropractic as it saved our son’s life and is responsible for giving him the amazing life he has today.
