It’s that time of the year when we naturally dream big.
Maybe it’s the longer days, or the boost of vitamin D, or time spend in a hammock on a Sunday afternoon. I’m not sure what causes it but we all like to up our game as we push into summer.
What do you want to accomplish this summer? Do you have a plan to make it happen?
You, my friend, have a superpower that can help you do more, be more and accomplish more.
That superpower is VITALISM!
Vitalists let things happen naturally, so that means you should just sit back and wait for the cool stuff to happen, right?
Wrongity, wrong.
You must not just think like a vitalist to tap into the amazing power and strength of your personal abundance and gifts. You must ACT like a vitalist.
Let’s get started!
Choose 3 top goals and get clear on what they are. Identifying your goals allows your entire being to do the magic of shifting through the clutter of everyday life and will help you align your opportunities with your goals. Great achievement happens with acts of brave commitment.
Make those goals. Write them down. Put the on your wall. Look at them every day.
- When an opportunity arises to move one of your top goals forward: say YES!
Prioritize your time, money and commitment toward the opportunities which align with the goals you are have chosen. Invest in yourself.
Pay attention to the universe is providing to you. Say yes to opportunity.
- Write action steps.
Success takes persistence – not luck or even exceptional talent. If it seems like not enough progress is happening toward your goals, find and action step and do it. Even a little step will help create progress. Don’t be afraid of going too small. Just do the next thing.
- Create your morning ritual.
Your morning ritual sets up your day. Plan a start that will make your goals possible. Set aside at least 20 minutes for your goals rather than defaulting to other the other stuff. The other stuff will be there. Do your stuff first, even if it is just 20 minutes.
A bedtime ritual makes a happy and productive morning possible. If you go to bed with a conscious intention to work through a challenge or increase your creativity, your innate intelligence will simmer away all night making your possibilities bubble to the surface. Try it and see what happens.
- Review the relationship of abundance to gratitude.
If you want to increase your abundance and possibilities focus on ways to increase your gratitude. Find a way to be in gratitude every day and see what happens to your abundance.
How do you increase your gratitude? Create a ritual. Keep a gratitude journal or thank five people per day. Make the process authentic and open the gratitude dam.
- Reassess your time commitments to your goals.
How much time will it take to make progress on your dream? Schedule it. Fit it into your schedule. This might mean dumping some other time fillers (Less Netflix? Less Facebook? Less Buzzfeed?)
You’d be amazed how good you will feel after a Sunday afternoon spent building YOUR dreams.
- Take a look at the 5 people you spend the most time with.
You tend to rise to the level (achievement, energy, commitment and success) of those around you. What are you attracting? How could you change this? Who would you like to spend more time with?
All of these steps require something many people struggle to be: a DOer.
Success in life is about more than thinking (and of course the way you think IS crazy important). Success is about thinking right and then DOING.
FEELING OVERWHELMED BY ALL THOSE IDEAS?
Pick three (three is magic) of these steps and DO THEM. Make something happen. Stop time wasting with superficial stuff that does not get you closer to your goals. Yes, there is a time and place for chill and relaxation – but right now is your time to do big things.
Vitalistic thinking plus massive action has created some of the top leaders and creators in the world.
Are you the next big leader and creator in chiropractic? Then, get busy.
